This multi-use modular robotic system with on-road and off-road capabilities has field-replaceable wheel nodes and electronics. The M2P2 allows easy integration of various payloads such as robotics manipulators and camera lifts. It enables tele-operated video inspection of vehicle undercarriages and interior compartments to include the following scenarios:

• Random or routine video vehicle inspections at fixed or hasty checkpoints
• Stand-off inspection of vehicles or buildings during security threat
situations
• Remote surveillance.
