Working with our research partners, API continues to advance our cold spray additive
metallization process for advanced coating applications. This process is an excellent
alternative to thermal spray and other metallization processes where the substrate
material cannot withstand thermal effects. Some direct applications of the cold spray
process are: corrosion resistance, material repair and unique coatings for applications
such as: radar absorption, reactive materials, and anti-microbial applications.

We have also developed enhanced solutions for existing tactical equipment. For
example, our engineers have redesigned a Fast Rope and Fast Rope Gloves to
minimize helicopter rotor-wash effects and eliminate friction burns to the ropers'
hands.
